I believe timpani parts in drumcorps are gonna require the ability to tune the timp by ear on the fly in performance, could be wrong tho, I am brass after all. They did, and I did okay. I’m planning on going to the December camp! My question is, packett bdb still be really worth it without the tour? Thanks for any info and if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated! All personal fundraising pages will be removed. It’s hard to make any drum corps. Would you be willing to add us to your list? Is there anything you can think of that I could focus on auditin the next few weeks? This is a question best left to the prospective members group on facebook.
I’ve never been to any Nov 1-day camp that had visual audtion. Every group has a different vibe, and you can use audition camps to get to know that vibe, the teaching style, the demand auditiob that corps, etc.

I’ll be at the 1 day camp in STL. Got really really close to a callback at Cavies, looking for a corps to march packwt has a similar vibe, but is still very strong at performing, any recommendations? Don’t harass any fellow redditors, ensembles, or marching members.

Any specific tips for BDA? I make no claim as to the precise accuracy of this list. Usually the corps will let you return home for graduation aduition you want, otherwise the school can just mail you the diploma if you don’t want to go. My score was pretty solid; If you can learn their technique quickly through the cadts you should be fine. It may be a tad too early for this, but with many Corps starting recruitment stuff already, and more to follow, figured it would be good to start a megathread where all the info can be found.
Why do we packeh having an audition megathread if people just post their questions directly to the subreddit anyways? You may make the cut one year and not the next. You are good enough at marching and playing, you are dedicated to the program, and you are easily teachable.

I got called back by the Phantom Regiment contra and I was wondering if anyone had any idea how many contras generally get called back to a corps. The vast majority of drum corps use similar marching styles, so it might be worth checking out. I live in the Bay Area, CA. Our visual tech is an assistant caption head at a corps and the rest of our staff all have at least a year of top 12 corps experience.
