In some ways it’s basically a manual for masering task management app, which, well, if you know me, you know that it is both exceedingly nerdy and unsurprising that I’d choose to read this.
But rather than focusing on productivity, as most approaches do, it focuses on the quality of the work you can do, by working on the entire set-up around and about your work which will lead to better, deeper, more meaningful and ultimately more productive work. Kourosh certainly has a system in place for working this app! I creatihg that I need something in my life to help me deal with my stuff, and I knew that OmniFocus was more than capable of doing that.

Rewrite and find clearer way to present the “Core” principles. You will finish this book mstering like a master of OmniFocus. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. That, my friends, is genius. Finally, Getting Things Done is still quite excellent and relevant. The book describes this process of wrangling in hopes that others will find such wranglings useful, too. This is a textbook for those who’ve read GTD and would like to specifically use Omnifocus.
Perspectives This section was difficult to take in, particularly the core perspectives section. Would benefit from a wider variety of examples; “Make chocolate chip cookies” does not cover it for many of the situations.
The appendices contain yet more useful info, so just when you think you’re pproductivity done, there’s more! The 3rd edition should be available, hopefully, in the next few weeks.

In short, I found this to be the most valuable section of the book. I was using Things app at the time and all the tasks were in one big bag, without contexts, groups, anything. I just darkened the text.

To get the most value read the book when you read GTD already and tried to use OmniFocus for a while. Makes you think about how to better utilize your system.
