As much as I wish I could go back to this time period and wear the fancy dresses and attend the balls myself, I guess I have to be contempt with reading about it which is perfectly okay with me if they end up being as awesome as this book! Sins he’d much rather forget. As her relationship rreiling McGregor reaches breaking point, she has to draw on all her wartime experience to stand up for what she believes in – even if it bu their relationship may not survive.
She lived in a different era, but I could relate to her nonetheless. Neither are expecting much from the marriage, especially passion and love.
She is definitely one of my favorite characters. I almost gave up at one point but kept going and the story finally picked up. We get a bit of Hawk and Julianne and get a chance to see how things are with them. She had me dying with laughter.
I enjoyed his wooing of Amy and I found myself as charmed by him as she was. Will agrees to set aside his rakish ways to court her while slowing introducing her to the pleasures of a physical relationship. Amy Hardwick is a wallflower looking to shrug off that image during her last Season in London. Amy had a unique hobby. Grandmamma tugged on his arm. Will spends more time around her and after getting locked in a wine cellar over night, they are forced to marry.
That brings us to our delightful hero, Will. He is a clever rake.
I was not disappointed at all. Crawford, she realizes she still has hopes to marry for love, and she wants to have one last season. They were found in an uncomfortable situation and they had to get married to stem the impending scandal. What Will too soon comes to realize is he preferred being used by his wife. After the Battle of Waterloo, Vjcky Dawes was presumed dead – and would have happily stayed that way.

Frequent business trips to the UK allowed her to indulge her passion for all things Regency England. What the heck happened to all of them? While insecure, she is strong enough to face it and begin to overcome it.
Zoe follows Libby’s trail from Paris to Spain on the brink of Civil War to secret trysts in London, and as Libby finds the courage to live and love again, Zoe begins to let go of her own grief. The ending was sweet and fairly standard. Watching Will fall in love with Amy was utterly delightful and easily made this my favorite book of the series.
