In this tutorial, we’re going to give you a gentle introduction to Fabrik, and we’ll show you how to set up your first form. Make sure that Save partially completed multi-page forms is set to No. Keep your Name all lowercase. These will be things such as name, email address and phone number.

Add Elements to the Form.

This will make the element show on your form. Click Select next to Menu Item Type. Click Save and Close Repeat the steps above to make all the elements you need for the form. This decides what type of data you’d like to collect. Scroll down and click on Form under the fabrik heading. Rather than simply create forms, Fabrik allows you to create real applications. Set Show in list to Yes. Elements are the actual data that people will enter into your form. There are nearly 30 options for creating Joomla forms.

Install Fabrik Fabrik is available from Fabrikar. This is what people will actually see when they fill in the form. Fill in the Name. Set Status to Yes.

Choose your Form on the right-hand side. No-one will see this. Scroll down to the Form processing area. View Your Form Congratulations.

You have created your form and database table. It is important to keep your naming convention consistent for future implementation of code. It is best to use only lowercase letters and underscores to create this name. This will be the name for your form. This is the name of the form you just created.
